About Us

Life is fragile, and all of us are vulnerable to loss. Founded in 1979, the mission of Hospice of the Valley is to provide comfort and compassionate care for those at the end of life, supply support to the family, and promote a deeper understanding of dying, loss and grief. You can support a worthwhile cause by purchasing a ticket to the event, sponsoring a table, providing a donation, or donating an auction item. 

As the largest employer in the Mahoning Valley, Mercy Health Youngstown is vital to our local economy. Through inpatient, outpatient, home health and palliative care services, among others, Mercy Health is delivering healthcare with state-of-the-art technology and through the hands and hearts of a dedicated, skilled workforce. The Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley connects this level of care to those in our community who need it most. In any given year, over 50 projects are funded through the foundation, serving our community from the start of life to the end of life.

Our Mission: Extend the compassionate ministry of Jesus by improving the health and well-being of our communities and bring good help to those in need, especially people who are poor, dying and underserved.

In support of Hospice of the Valley, the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, not-for-profit organization that supports the Mercy Health Youngstown System, comprehensive community health, wellness and health education initiatives.

Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley implements all health and safety guidelines recommended by the CDC, the hosting venue, and local health authorities.
